“Bodas de Sangue”, the 130th creation of Teatro do Noroeste – CDV, debuted at the Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda on December 6, 2016, when the company celebrated 25 years of activity. With joint staging by Guillermo Heras and Ricardo Simões, lighting by Antonio Simón, sound design by José Prata and choral direction by Vítor Lima, “Bodas de Sangue” brought together more than 40 performers on stage, including actors (professionals and amateurs historically linked to the company, as well as members of the theater workshops of the Community Project of the Teatro do Noroeste – CDV) and musicians (members of the Cantadeira do Vale do Neiva and the Banda de Gaiteiros of ZEPAM – Associação Musical). This show was on stage at Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda between December 6 and 17, from Tuesday to Friday at 9:30 pm and on Saturdays in double session, at 4:00 pm and 9:30 pm. “Bodas de Sangue” had a total of 1489 spectators in 12 presentations, which makes an average of 124 spectators per session.
It premiered on December 6th, 2016, at Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda, in Viana do Castelo.
