This Sunday, May 15th, FITEI – International Festival of Theatre of Iberian Expression returns to Viana do Castelo with the presentation of a show, a choir and two international workshops.
From 10am to 2pm, at the Rehearsal Room of Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda, the Workshop – A Meeting with Brazilian creator Pedro Vilela will be held. In this meeting, he will share composition techniques based on improvisation exercises, inspired by artistic observation. This activity is free with prior registration.
At 4 p.m., the Experimental Room of Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda will host the performance Figueiredo, by Pedro Vilela, which presents a document hidden for over 40 years that serves as a starting point for this lecture-performance that seeks to move between history and memory, weaving links around a policy of destruction that has been spreading since 1500: the indigenous genocide in Brazil.
At the end of the show, there will be a choral performance with Inês Malheiro (Portugal) and Lea Taragona (Brazil).
Tickets cost between 4 and 10 euros and can be bought at the Municipal Theatre Sá de Miranda Ticket Office and BOL – Online Ticket Office.
