We prepared this festival around the ideas of aesthetic eclecticism, artistic diversity and professional consistency, in an edition that will bring to Viana and Sá de Miranda 17 representations of 14 different shows in 9 consecutive days. So, postpone plans, take vacations, ask for licenses: from November 10th to 18th, the Viana do Castelo Theater Festival takes place!
The Viana do Castelo Theater Festival seeks to combine the quality of its cultural offer with mediation, accessibility, education and inclusion initiatives, strategies for the desecration of art that are fundamental for a full cultural enjoyment and citizenship. In this regard, we maintain a continuous enthusiasm and research.
Therefore, this year, in addition to Digestive, Gestu and Ver Com A Mãos for all shows, the Educational Service launches the Braille Programming Notebook and starts Relaxed Sessions, especially dedicated to families and people with sensory, behavioral characteristics and specific communication, in which the shows take place in an adapted and more tolerant environment to sounds and movements coming from the public.
Because we want this festival to be a party that really fits everyone, we will have shows of a new circus, operetta, dance-theater, comedy, fable, drama, inclusive theater, monologue, for children, young people, families and adults, at scheduled times for each specific audience. All in a meeting of excellent creators and wonderful interpreters from Portugal and Spain, who deserve to perform before audiences full of people who, in turn, also deserve to see these shows in Viana do Castelo.
