From A Tempestade (The Tempest), Pedro Galiza and Jorge Pinto create a solo. The idea is not that of a monologue, but of a solo. The idea of a single actor who faces an audience using, almost exclusively, himself, his body and his voice, the first tools in the exercise of theatrical signification that is set in motion. A Tempestade closes a symbolic farewell, a last bow, and, unraveling the text, allows the figure of Próspero to be drawn as a reflection of the author himself, a character-made-man-made-metaphor, a figure that is released on the page and on the stage in a process of extrospection, crowning himself on stage, through a fictionalized biography, a life that is considered worthy of celebration.
