Viagem ao Carandiru

At 16h20 on October 2, 1992, in the Brazilian megalopolis of São Paulo, the Military Police was ordered to storm Pavilion 9 of the Carandiru Complex Detention Center and contain a rebellion. The action resulted in 111 deaths. The bloodiest prison police intervention since prisons have existed. In 2022, when nobody in Brazil still agrees about what happened, we set out in search of testimonials for a theatrical documentary about this story. Which is not finished being told.
